Big Discount Mart Glasses Collection

Big Discount Mart Glasses Collection Review — 11 Best Drinking Glasses Under Rs.1,038

Big Discount Mart is quickly becoming one of India's go-to places for affordable, stylish home and kitchen products. Run by bansal export, this online store has built a reputation for offering premium-quality glassware at prices that frankly make you do a double-take. I have been browsing their Glasses collection for a while now, and honestly, some of these deals are too good to keep quiet about. So here is my detailed, honest breakdown of every single glass set available at bigdiscountmart.in right now.

If you have been searching for "Big Discount Mart glasses" or wondering whether bansal export is legit, this blog should answer all your questions.

Why I Started Looking at Big Discount Mart in the First Place

Let me be real with you. I broke my favourite whiskey glass last month. The thick-bottomed one that had survived three house shifts and countless parties. Gone. So I started hunting online for a replacement. Amazon showed me sets starting at Rs.800 — for basic, no-personality tumblers. Flipkart was slightly cheaper but nothing caught my eye. Then a friend mentioned Big Discount Mart and the name stuck because, well, who does not like a big discount?

I typed bigdiscountmart.in into my browser and landed on their glasses page. Rs.252 for six crystal cut glasses. I actually closed the tab and opened it again thinking it was a glitch. It was not. This is their actual pricing.

Here is the thing — I am naturally suspicious of prices that seem too low. So I ordered one set to test the waters. It arrived in four days, packed so well that even Blinkit would be jealous. The glasses were perfect. That first order was the Rooster crystal cut water glass set. Since then, I have been back three times and my kitchen cabinet now has more glasses than a small restaurant.

Who is Bansal Export? The Parent Company Behind Big Discount Mart

If you look at the footer of bigdiscountmart.in, you will see "© bansal export" at the bottom. Bansal export is the registered business name behind Big Discount Mart. This is important because a lot of new online stores pop up and disappear within months. When you are spending your money, you want to know the people behind the website are real and will actually deliver what you ordered.

From what I can tell, bansal export operates as a direct-to-consumer brand. They source products directly from manufacturers — or possibly manufacture some in-house — and sell them on their own Shopify store instead of paying massive commissions to Amazon and Flipkart. This is why the prices at Big Discount Mart are so much lower. There is no middleman taking a 15-30% cut. The savings go straight to you.

I have now placed four orders with Big Discount Mart and every single one has been delivered on time and in perfect condition. The WhatsApp support is responsive — I had a question about the Skull Mug set dimensions and they replied within ten minutes. So yes, bansal export is legitimate, and Big Discount Mart is a real, functioning ecommerce store that actually ships products.

The Complete Big Discount Mart Glasses Collection — All 11 Products Reviewed

Alright, let us get into the products. I have personally used five of these sets and researched the remaining six thoroughly, including checking customer feedback and comparing them to similar products on other platforms.

1. Rooster 6 Pcs Premium Crystal Cut Water Glass Set — Rs.252

This is the set that started it all for me. Six glasses, 290ml each, with a beautiful diamond-cut pattern that catches light from every angle. At Rs.252 for the entire set, each glass costs Rs.42. You cannot even buy a decent plastic glass for Rs.42 anymore.

The weight is satisfying — not too heavy, not feather-light like those cheap glasses that feel like they will shatter if you look at them wrong. The cuts are clean and precise. No rough edges. I have been using these daily for over a month now, running them through the dishwasher on the top rack, and they still look brand new.

These are perfect for everyday water and juice. They also work well for formal dinners because the crystal-cut design looks far more expensive than it actually is. Your guests will assume you spent at least Rs.800 on this set. Let them assume.

2. 6 Pcs Premium Crystal Cut Short Tumbler Glass Set (Floral Star Pattern) — Rs.252

Same price as the Rooster set — Rs.252. Same value proposition. But these are shorter, wider tumblers designed for juice, whiskey, and cold drinks. The floral star pattern is more decorative and feminine than the diamond-cut design, making these a good choice if you want something that feels a little softer and more ornate.

The wider mouth makes these easier to clean — your hand fits inside comfortably with a sponge. They also work surprisingly well as dessert glasses. A small serving of kheer, fruit custard, or even ice cream looks lovely in these short tumblers, and the cut pattern adds visual interest to the dessert presentation.

3. 6 Pcs Premium Crystal Cut Glassware Set — Rs.252

The third set at the Rs.252 price point, and honestly, at this stage I am wondering how bansal export is making any money on these. This set has a simpler, cleaner design with fewer decorative cuts. It is understated and elegant — the kind of glassware that works in any setting from a casual breakfast table to a Diwali dinner spread.

If you find the diamond-cut and floral patterns a bit much for your taste, this is the set for you. The simpler design also means fewer crevices where food particles or soap residue could hide, so cleaning is even faster.

4. Born Glass BC-2034 High Borosilicate Glass Set — 6 Pieces, 220ml — Rs.252

Now we move into borosilicate territory. If you do not know what borosilicate glass is, here is the short version: it is the same type of glass used in laboratory beakers and test tubes. It handles extreme temperature changes without cracking. You can pour boiling water into a borosilicate glass straight from the freezer and it will not shatter. Try that with regular glass and you will be cleaning up shards.

The Born Glass BC-2034 set gives you six 220ml glasses made from genuine high borosilicate glass. They are noticeably lighter than the crystal-cut sets, which is actually a plus if you have elderly family members or young kids handling their own glasses at meals. The transparent design is clean and modern. No patterns, no cuts — just pure, clear glass that lets the drink speak for itself.

At Rs.252, this is probably the best value borosilicate glass set available online in India right now. I have checked. Comparable borosilicate sets on Amazon start at Rs.500 and go up from there.

5. Born Glass BC-2046 High Borosilicate Glass Mug Set — 6 Pieces, 220ml — Rs.396

Mugs made of borosilicate glass. If you are tired of ceramic mugs that chip, stain, and develop those weird hairline cracks after a year of use, borosilicate mugs are the upgrade you did not know you needed.

These 220ml mugs are perfect for chai, coffee, hot chocolate, or even cold beverages. The borosilicate construction means they handle boiling hot tea just as easily as iced coffee with ice cubes clinking around. No cracking. No staining. The handles are comfortable — not those tiny loops that you can barely fit two fingers through. Proper, adult-sized handles.

At Rs.396 for six mugs (Rs.66 per mug), this is an absolute steal. Borosilicate mugs of this quality typically sell for Rs.200-300 per piece. You are getting six for the price of two elsewhere.

6. Born Chef BC-2047 7 PCS High Borosilicate Glass Set — Jug + 6 Glasses — Rs.1,038

This is the premium offering in the Big Discount Mart glasses collection, and at Rs.1,038 (down from Rs.2,500), it is still incredibly affordable for what you get. Seven pieces total — one 1,500ml jug and six 270ml glasses, all in high-grade borosilicate glass.

The jug-and-glass combo is genius for family dinners and dinner parties. Fill the jug with water, buttermilk, or nimbu pani at the start of the meal. Place it in the centre of the table. Everyone pours their own refills as needed. Nobody has to get up. Nobody has to ask for more water. It is one of those small quality-of-life upgrades that makes family meals feel more put-together and less chaotic.

The Born Chef branding adds credibility. This is not some unknown white-label product. Born Chef is a recognized kitchenware brand, and the build quality on this set reflects that. The jug pours cleanly without dripping. The glasses are perfectly balanced. The packaging is gift-ready.

If you buy only one glass set from Big Discount Mart, this should be it. It is the most versatile, the best value for the piece count, and the one your family will actually use every single day.

7. Yamasin Premium Whisky Glass Set — 6 Pieces Diamond Cut Crystal, Japan Gold Edition — Rs.438

Two variants of this set are listed, both at Rs.438 for six glasses. This is the set I bought to replace my broken whiskey glass, and honestly, it exceeded my expectations by a wide margin.

The diamond-cut crystal pattern on the lower half of each glass is precise and even. The Japan Gold Edition branding adds a touch of perceived luxury — these look like glasses that would cost Rs.400-500 per piece at a high-end home store. Instead, you are paying Rs.73 per glass.

The thick base provides excellent stability. These glasses do not tip over easily, which matters when you are gesturing enthusiastically during a conversation or when the table gets bumped by an excited dog or a running child. The weight distribution feels intentional and well-designed. Pour two fingers of whiskey into one of these, add a single large ice cube, and you have a drinking experience that feels premium without any premium pricing.

The gift box packaging is an added bonus. If you are looking for a housewarming gift, a Diwali present, or a wedding gift that looks expensive without actually being expensive, this set is perfect. The recipient will never guess it cost Rs.438.

8. Yamasin Premium Glass Mug Set — 4 Pieces, Japan Quality Gold Edition — Rs.438

Four glass mugs in a gift box, priced at Rs.438 (Rs.109 per mug). These are clear glass mugs with a gold edition finish that adds a touch of warmth and luxury. They hold approximately 350ml, making them ideal for a generous serving of chai, filter coffee, or hot chocolate.

The Japan Quality branding is not just marketing fluff — the glass clarity and the precision of the gold accents genuinely look and feel well-made. These mugs make excellent gifts, especially for people who appreciate their tea and coffee rituals. The gift box arrives ready to present, so you do not need to scramble for wrapping paper.

9. Yamasin Premium Gold Edition Beer Mug Set — 4 Pieces — Rs.438

Four thick, sturdy beer mugs with gold accents, packed in a gift box. If you or someone you know enjoys a cold beer on a Friday evening, these mugs elevate the experience from "drinking from the bottle" to "properly enjoying a beverage."

The gold edition detailing around the rim and base of each mug is subtle but noticeable. These are substantial glasses — you will feel the weight when you pick one up, which is exactly what you want from a beer mug. The thick glass walls also help keep your beer cold for longer since the mass of the glass acts as a thermal buffer against your warm hand.

At Rs.438 for four mugs with a gift box, this is an excellent value purchase. Similar beer mug sets on other platforms start at Rs.800 and do not include the gold detailing or the gift-ready packaging.

10. Skull Shape Glass Beer Mug — Set of 6 — Rs.608

This is the most unique glass in the entire Big Discount Mart collection, and honestly, I bought this purely because it looked cool. Six skull-shaped beer mugs for Rs.608 (Rs.101 per mug). These are conversation starters.

The skull shape is moulded into the glass itself — it is not a printed design that will wash off after a few dishwasher cycles. The glass is thick and sturdy, designed to handle the enthusiastic clinking that tends to happen when skull mugs are involved. Each mug holds approximately 350ml, which is a standard beer serving.

Beyond beer, these work brilliantly as Halloween decor, themed party drinkware, or just as a fun addition to a home bar that does not take itself too seriously. If you have a friend with a slightly dark sense of humour, this set is the perfect gift. They will not expect it, and they will love it.

11. Yamasin Premium Whisky Glass Set — 6 Pieces Diamond Cut Crystal (Second Variant) — Rs.438

The second variant of the Yamasin whisky set — same price, same quality, slightly different design details. The diamond-cut pattern is arranged differently from the first variant, giving you a choice in aesthetics while maintaining the same premium feel. Both variants come with the Japan Gold Edition branding and gift box packaging.

If you are buying multiple sets for gifting, mixing the two variants adds variety while keeping the quality and price consistent. Your recipients will not feel like they all got identical presents.

Price Comparison — Big Discount Mart vs Amazon vs Local Stores

I did a quick comparison of similar glass sets across platforms, and the results are honestly surprising:

Product Type	Big Discount Mart	Amazon (Similar)	Local Retail Store
Crystal Cut Water Glass Set (6 pcs)	Rs.252	Rs.699-899	Rs.600-850
Borosilicate Glass Set (6 pcs)	Rs.252	Rs.499-699	Rs.500-700
Whisky Glass Set with Gift Box (6 pcs)	Rs.438	Rs.899-1,299	Rs.800-1,200
Beer Mug Set with Gift Box (4 pcs)	Rs.438	Rs.799-999	Rs.700-900
Jug + Glass Combo (7 pcs)	Rs.1,038	Rs.1,499-1,999	Rs.1,500-2,000

The price difference is not small. We are talking 40-70% savings across the board. This is the benefit of buying directly from bansal export through their own platform rather than paying Amazon's commission fees built into every product price.

Shipping, Delivery, and What to Expect

Big Discount Mart offers free shipping on all orders above Rs.1,999. If your order is below that, a standard shipping charge applies — but honestly, with prices this low, hitting the Rs.1,999 threshold is not difficult. A couple of glass sets plus maybe a dinner set or some kitchen essentials and you are there.

Orders are typically processed within 24-48 hours. Delivery takes 3-7 days depending on your location. All my orders to a tier-2 city arrived within four to five days. The packaging is excellent — multiple layers of bubble wrap, sturdy cardboard boxes, and individual glass separators. In four orders, I have not received a single broken or chipped glass.

Final Verdict — Should You Buy Glasses from Big Discount Mart?

Yes. Unequivocally, yes. Here is why:

The quality matches or exceeds what you would get from established platforms at two to three times the price. The selection covers every use case — water glasses, whiskey tumblers, beer mugs, chai mugs, and complete jug sets. The borosilicate options give you laboratory-grade glass at mass-market prices. And the gift box packaging on the Yamasin and Born Chef sets makes gifting effortless.

Bansal export has built something genuinely impressive with Big Discount Mart. A direct-to-consumer model that cuts out middlemen, keeps quality high, and passes real savings to customers. If you are furnishing a new home, upgrading your tired old glassware, or looking for affordable but impressive gifts, the glasses collection at bigdiscountmart.in should be your first stop, not your last resort.
